Frequently Asked Questions

What is your training?

I am a Registered Craniosacral Therapist and a Certified IFS Practitioner. I went to school (twice) to study and practice as an environmental scientist. I wanted to save the planet. I discovered that to “save” the planet, you must move humanity forward one individual at a time. So while I have a number of degrees, my life and soul experience are what ultimately support me being a healer. And like many of you, my journey is dynamic and complex and is my life blood.

Healing and wholeing has been an essential part of my soul journey and will continue to be. I’ve found many allies in this process. Humans and more than humans. My personal practice is very nature oriented and I also weave nature-based practices into my work with others.

Why Does Everything Add up to 9?

Nine is the mystic number of the universe. Its power and numerology is completion and mastery and as a symbol is contains all the numbers and phases of experience. This is why its considered the number of initiation, graduation, progression, knowledge, and universal love. Nine is considered sacred in many walks of faith.

The currency we exchange for services is an act of reciprocity and an exchange of energy. No matter what the exchange is, let it come from a place of heart for your highest good and mine.

Where does the name Moonsnake come from?

I’ve embodied a great many names on my journey to here. Ridgewalker, Heartwater, and Moonsnake are a few. Each embodies a particular part of my essence, my mythos, my poem, and perhaps a particular time in my journey. Moonsnake is one that sticks with me. The moon is dark and yin, full of magic and mystery. She holds the key to the tides, the waters of our Home. Someone once told me that if you stare at the moon long enough, you’ll go crazy. Seems fitting. Snake, people often look at me a bit sideways for. I’m a reptile! I like laying on hot rocks in the sun and I easily get cold. Snakes are incredibly sensitive. And they shed their skins. Regularly. Why Moon and Snake together? My poem is still being written….
